The Arrow of Time. Towards the Third Year . The Roland Levinsky Building. As in Steffi Klenz’s series Nonsuch (images of Poundbury in Dorset) the photographic methodology of ‘de -population’, of removing the physical presence of the occupants, heightens the banality and peculiarity of the buildings whilst also referencing the fascination with the relationship between civilisation and nature as explored in the works of painters such as Edward Hopper.

The Arrow of Time. Towards the Third Year . The Roland Levinsky Building. This is very much work in progress. In conjunction with these sculptural explorations, the glories of the 13c stained glass of these cathedrals is likewise a fascination and has resulted in these first extrapolations from a series of windows. On removing the faces from their surroundings, and retaining the framing of the faces as delineted by the glazing bars, a strange portrait of each un-named character is made manifest.
