Simple, but delicious.: April 2008

http://simplebutdelicious.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 28, 2008. I was craving Chinese food but wanted something a bit more healthy than what we would get from a take-out restaurant. I found this recipe on Recipezaar. And luckily had all (okay, most) of the ingredients. I skipped the ginger but it still tasted great! I think next time I'll make a bit more sauce and toss the broccoli in with the chicken. 2 lbs boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces (I used 4 breasts). 1-2 tablespoon olive oil. 1 garlic clove, crushed (I used two).

Simple, but delicious.: August 2008

Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Adapted from Allrecipes.com. 1 T olive oil. 1/2 cup diced onion. 3/4 cup diced carrots. 3 cups vegetable stock. Salt and pepper to taste. Ground nutmeg to taste. 1/2 cup cream (used light). 1 Cut acorn squash in half and remove the seeds. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 min or until soft. Scoop out squash and place aside. 2 Heat the oil and melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Cook and stir the onion in the butter and oil under tender. Monday, August 11, 2008. So I read...

Simple, but delicious.: December 2008

http://simplebutdelicious.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Saturday, December 27, 2008. I made this for a Christmas luncheon we had at work and it turned out really good. I've been looking for a go-to pasta salad recipe and this is it. I made the salad and dressing the night before and mixed in the dressing about an hour before serving after reading some reviews. It kept the salad moist. 1 pound seashell pasta. 1/4 pound Genoa salami, chopped. 1/4 pound pepperoni sausage, chopped. 1/2 pound Asiago cheese, diced. 1 (6 ounce) can black olives, drained and chopped.

Babbs' Bites: September 2008

http://babbsbites.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Saturday, September 27, 2008. I have seen these on Vicki's Healthy eats and Sinful treats. And then Amy made them from Simple, but delicious. I just needed a reason to make them and today was my nephew's birthday party. They were definitely a HUGE hit. I looked over at one point and my nephew was just shoving them in his mouth one right after the other. Source: Amber's Delectable Delights. 1 pint fresh strawberries. 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened. 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, or to taste.
