From the station, head south over the bridge towards Bethersden and take the first turning on the right, following the lane round the corner and taking the first drive on the left to Hazel Cottage. As a treat for yourself or a gift for someone special, a luxury day of Simple. Joys provides the perfect opportunity for someone wanting to learn a new skill. Arrive to coffee and home-made biscuits before tuition in your chosen craft. Enjoy a delicious two course lunch then relax a little while in the peace of the garden or in front of the fire before more tuition. Basic sewing skills - sewing buttons, renewing zips, shortening hems, dress-making or soft furnishing. Learn about different methods of making bread, cakes or pastries and get hands on to produce some delicious goodies to take home. Learn to knit or crochet. How to do the stitches and follow a pattern. All materials provided to start you off.
