Tuesday, August 18, 2015. My new "laptop" is a lenovo. It has a touchscreen option or a keyboard option. Neither is particularly responsive. If either one worked reliably I would be very pleased with it. When using the touch screen, it stopped accepting input. When using the keyboard, I have to pay attention to make sure it is putting spaces in and hasn't put the last few letters in some random part of previous words. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thursday, July 30, 2015. Fighting Drought for my Roses. I'm putting a small sprinkler on the dirt near my roses for long enough that the soil around the roots is soaked. Then I'm putting these old newspapers that I've soaked down and covering them with pine bark nuggets. My roses are blooming, but it's so hot and dry that the blooms start drying out immediately. Thursday, April 30, 2015. I had a mammogram at an imagining center several years ago. They put me in a laundry room to put on the gown they laid on the dirty laundry. I guess the mammogram was all right but I didn't go back. I was pretty offended by the dirty laundry. Today I went to a place and was given a changing room with a locker and key to lock up my belongings. Everything was scrupulously clean, and the gown was heated. I'll go back to that place. Monday, August 17, 2015. It was good to hear the dermatologist say that. My schedule is back to once a year, finally. They are using iPads with a lot of boxes to check to identify their findings. So now they have the old notes that are pre-iPod as well as the iPod notes. Comparing spots to see if they've grown requires the old and new records. Sunday, November 30, 2014. An arts and crafts store went out of business and I bought a bunch of stuff at a great discount. I've done that before. Friday, February 27, 2015. I banged my head when I fell on the ice last week. I was having headaches so I went to the doctor today. He said if I hadn't had bad signs within 24 hours, it probably wasn't from the knock on the head. So I got a prescription for a sinus infection. I hope it does some good. Monday, August 31, 2015. My iPod died so while I was preparing peppers for the freezer, I sat tethered to my laptop listening to an audible book. It wasn't awful, but I guess I'll have to get another one. I ended up with two quarts of diced peppers, mixed hot and sweet. I went through three pairs of disposable gloves while doing the peppers.
