Haggard Mom: Down, Down, Up, Down, Up....
http://haggardmom.blogspot.com/2012/11/down-down-up-down-up.html
A bland but slightly humerous look into the daily life of a mother with two small children. Sunday, November 25, 2012. Down, Down, Up, Down, Up. The past week has been one of the most emotionally trying weeks I've had since my mom was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. And what happens when someone's expectations change? http://haggardmom.blogspot.com/2012/10/hello.html
A bland but slightly humerous look into the daily life of a mother with two small children. Thursday, October 11, 2012. Work is evolving. new tasks are being added, some better than others. I've had some mighty tedious days lately, but being busy is always better than not having enough to do. Some days I feel such frustration at office politics, but all offices have it, and I don't think this one is worse than any other. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Skip to search - Accesskey = s. Day Trip to the Pine Barrens. By mylifesamess on 11/06/2011. Tom and I took a trip to dirty jerz to visit the Pine Barrens. Today He’s been talking about going since he read in the paper that the General Store in Chatsworth was up for sale. Which led him to the book “The Pine Barrens” by John McPhee. It wasn’t the most exciting trip we’ve ever taken, but it was a nice day to spend outside and with each other. The first stop was Batsto Village. We took a short stroll throug...

http://nacl2taste.blogspot.com/2011/11/roast-turkey-breast-mini-sweet-potato.html
Putting the joy back in cooking. Monday, November 28, 2011. Roast Turkey Breast and Mini Sweet Potato Pies. I decided. I want turkey at Thanksgiving. A couple of hours later (I wasn’t really keeping track of time as I had my handy-dandy digital thermometer to gauge the meat’s doneness), this beauty came out of the oven:. The skin didn't really stay on, but that was a perfection I wasn't striving to reach on the first go. Mashed, baked sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes mixed with evaporated milk and spices.

Salt to Taste: Chocolate Chipotle Cupcakes
http://nacl2taste.blogspot.com/2011/12/chocolate-chipotle-cupcakes.html
Putting the joy back in cooking. Tuesday, December 6, 2011. About a year ago I went to Paciugo. I’ve been in love with the chocolate-chipotle combination since. During a recent Chicago Women Cooks-in-Training. Meetup, I ventured to the Spice House. In Evanston for the first time where I snagged some grey sea salt, dried lavender, green tea powder, and, of course, ground chipotle. I’d copied a recipe from one of my mother’s Sunset. I’ve decided to start sharing my recipes, so here you go:]. Whisk cocoa, f...
