Simply Cakes, by Mandy. Monday, July 30, 2012. I love the rustic look of this cake, and the burlap flower just completes it. I thought it would be a lot easier to make it because there is no fondant, just buttercream, but it turned out to be more of a challenge than I thought it would. I had a few issues and it was definitely a learning experience, but I love how it looked and boy was it tasty! Vanilla cake with a chocolate raspberry filling, covered in vanilla buttercream. YUM :).
