This is an absorbing novel that has you guessing till the end. Of course. the two get together. but how they accomplish it, you must experience for yourself. At the start we find our female playing servant to "Selena" apparently a Phoenix spirit incarnate, who ends up transferring not only this spirit to our heroine. Not only does she recieve this lovely gift, but it also comes with its own vampire protector attached. Him having lusted after her since the first meeting.
