Joy For The Journey. May 22, 2014. My kids love to do anything out of the ordinary. Helping me water the flowers, chasing yellow butterflies, reading books in a “tent” made of bed sheets. It always surprises me how much they light up when they get to help mom and dad. Cracking eggs to make muffins, stirring the batter, carrying the toilet paper to the bathroom, helping dad by holding screws, picking up tree branches in the yard or sweeping the garage out. The last of summer…. The pools are closing. The sun sets behind the horizon a little sooner with each passing day. The smell of lead pencils and note book paper fill the grocery stores. Kids are crying all over the nation this week. Summer is over. All the mom and dad’s praise hands fly up in the air! To the last of summer…. Monday, February 8, 2010. Well, today has been good. After three days of absolute misery I was able to get some medicine from the doc for a very pesky pregnancy issue.
