http://simplyschooling.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
The Days may be long, but the Years are short. Cherish everyday! Sunday, April 8, 2012. Easter and Stake Conference. I love Easter. I love the celebration of Christ's resurrection and the celebration of spring and the rebirth of flowers and plants. I love the babies and tulips and daffodils and bright, happy colors. I love watching the excited kids at Easter egg hunts. We did two yesterday, one at a park and one in a swimming pool and the kids loved them. They each get 3 questions or hints. They can ...

Simply Schooling Mom: October 2014
http://simplyschooling.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
The Days may be long, but the Years are short. Cherish everyday! Friday, October 3, 2014. I was asked to write up "Why I homeschool" for our local homeschool group newsletter. Here it is. Why I homeschool (according to those who think I will ruin my kids.). I'm too lazy to get out of bed and get my kids up in the morning or have a regular bedtime. I don't want to have to clean my house all by myself. So I have built in babysitters for the younger kids during the day. To have control over my kids. I homes...

Simply Schooling Mom: Jan 2014
http://simplyschooling.blogspot.com/2014/01/jan-2014.html
The Days may be long, but the Years are short. Cherish everyday! Saturday, January 18, 2014. If life would just slow down for a bit, I'd have time to actually record what is happening! This fall/winter has been a whirlwind of kid activities, lessons, school, and just regular life. Ryan worked hard last summer taking high school Earth Science A and B, so that he could take Biology and Physics during the school year. Physics was the class he really wanted! I love the update! I miss your sweet family. I'm a...

The Days may be long, but the Years are short. Cherish everyday! Sunday, June 10, 2012. Hang on for the ride! And, as if that's not enough craziness, I was sustained as 1st counselor in the Primary today and will be figuring that out in the next couple weeks. I'm sure I will love the calling, I just had to laugh at the timing. Day Camp for Eli and Tyler is also that week, along with a river rafting trip for Ryan. Sometime this week we will be getting a new roof. When it rains, it pours! Level 9 Pass Off.

Simply Schooling Mom: Spring Update
http://simplyschooling.blogspot.com/2013/04/spring-update.html
The Days may be long, but the Years are short. Cherish everyday! Saturday, April 6, 2013. February found us fighting one sickness after another. Strep throat, pink eye, colds, a nasty cough that would bring me to my knees. I think it is easy to add one thing at a time and then to go into survival mode until you don't even realize you are drowning. April 7, 2013 at 5:18 PM. It never stops for a mom does it? It always helps to hear other moms say that they had to have a just say no time. This is our favori...

Simply Schooling Mom: May 2012
http://simplyschooling.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
The Days may be long, but the Years are short. Cherish everyday! Wednesday, May 9, 2012. A friend on facebook from high school said, " Noticed a lot of moms talking about homeschooling lately. I'm curious, what do you feel the benefits are? And how do you compensate for the missed social experiences? My response ended up being a book, but it summed up my feelings about homeschool pretty well, so I wanted to post it here too. Some days I need the reminders of why I do this. Learning can be fun! The surger...
