Monday, December 8, 2008. Eventually I found a massive sap ridden evergreen tree and sat at it’s base (good thing I didn’t wear my dress.) The scene was absolutely breath taking. The sky was blue, the sun was peeking through the trees warming my face, and I was surrounded by monuments of love. I sat there for along time pondering my blessings. Wednesday, April 8, 2009. The time has come for me to fully embrace my adulthood and I feel ready for it. I better be ready, I’ve been postponing the imminent reality long enough. It is rather terrifying though, big questions are going through my head. Where am I going to work? Where am I going to live? What goals am I going to pursue now that I’m through with socially defined milestones? I should not stress so much and just move forward the best I can. Brett and erin mecham. Monday, December 15, 2008. Last night I read a good portion of the book, A Grief Observed, by CS Lewis. Reading it made me feel out of place- unable to understand the pain described. As a person who has never been married and therefore never widowed how can I even begin to comprehend that type of loss? I do know however, that though the Atonement of Jesus Christ families can be sealed together forever, and that death is not the end.- I cannot think of a greater knowledge to have.
