Saturday, June 11, 2011. Plain Wisdom. A book Review. I found the book, "Plain Wisdom" to be a wonderful bit of insight into Old World Amish life versus the Englischer life . I felt like I was taken back to life's basics, including homemaking, homeschooling, and other areas of life that women today are interested in, even today. Monday, March 5, 2012. Is a Brides of Last Chance Novel written by Margaret Brownley. The story line involves Kate Tenney, the main character of the book who heads to the Arizona Territory from Boston, specifically, a large cattle ranch , after being dropped by her publisher for a banned novel that was just a tad bit "naughty". That experience had left her disgraced in the eyes of those that she worked with, as well as a line of failed romances, for which she has decided she would never , ever be married.

Friday, July 22, 2011. Fatal Judgment is book one in the " Guardians of Justice " series from author, Irene Hannon. I have read one other from the author, and found it quite enjoyable, and suspenceful, and was hoping this was of the same caliber as her other one. A very good read. Gunnar " comes across as a manly man, who takes on his personal problems with the help of Tessa, who I found a very down to earth, sincere and realistic personality in this very well written book. Thursday, October 20, 2011. Boy, oh Boy . A 10 minute Quilt block? Will it be a quilt pattern I will do often? Probably not, though I know I will do more baby donation quilts using it, since it is easy, and fast. But it was kind of boring , which for someone like me who needs challenges in my quilting projects, it won't be done often. But it was fun learning. Heres a little boys quilt top, using the pattern called, "10 Minute Block ". Chicken at it's finest. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup Marsala wine.
