Who took our cheese puffs away?: Le Jardin de Joel Robuchon (Hong Kong)
http://www.smilinglioneats.com/2010/10/le-jardin-de-joel-robuchon-hong-kong.html
Friday, October 1, 2010. Le Jardin de Joel Robuchon (Hong Kong). Shop 315 and 404, The Landmark,. Central, Hong Kong. Tel: 852 2166 9000. Http:/ www.robuchon.hk/. Update: Robuchon gained its third Michelin star in 2012. We started dinner with a glass each of 1999 Bruno Paillard champagne, which was complex and had a good finish. Opting for the Menu Decouverte, we went for the Sonoma Valley Cable and Telegraph Pinot Noir (forgot which year) to accompany the food (turned out to be quite a good pairing).

Who took our cheese puffs away?: Labyrinth (Singapore)
http://www.smilinglioneats.com/2015/06/labyrinth-singapore.html
Saturday, June 13, 2015. 5 Neil Road, Singapore 088806. Tel: 65 6223 4098. For the evening, we were presented with two fixed menu choices. We opted for the slightly longer Heritage Menu which showcased the popular dishes rather than the Signature Menu which had the chef's most current creations, because this was our first time there and we wanted to try Chef Han's 'famous' dishes. Kaya Butter, Rojak. Laksa (coconut noodles and grilled oyster). Our disappointment brought about by the "Sashimi" dish was sh...

Who took our cheese puffs away?: April 2013
http://www.smilinglioneats.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 20, 2013. Sam's Chowder House (Half Moon Bay). 4210 North Cabrillo Highway,. Half Moon Bay, California, USA. Tel: 1 650 712 0245. When we were there, it was still rather nippy outside so we opted for a seat inside (but at the window so we still managed to enjoy the views). Set up as a traditional diner and sports bar, it was very relaxed with enthusiastic and friendly service. Posted by Smiling Lion. Sunday, April 7, 2013. 320 Village Lane, Los Gatos, California, USA. Tel: 1 408 354 4330.
Who took our cheese puffs away?: July 2013
http://www.smilinglioneats.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 27, 2013. Placa de les Olles, 8, 08003, Barcelona, Spain. Tel: 34 933 10 79 61 (no reservations except for tables of 4 or more). Located at the heart of the very idyllic and chic El Born district in Barcelona, Cal Pep is a narrow restaurant dominated by a long bar counter, with seatings for bigger groups in the restaurant area at the back. The tapas on offer here was very traditional, and included local favourites like the tomato and olive oil bread and grilled peppers, which were excellent.

mr.foodnotes: Standing Sushi Bar @ Shinjuku, Tokyo
http://mrfoodnotes.blogspot.com/2012/05/standing-sushi-bar-shinjuku-tokyo_5708.html
Sunday, 13 May 2012. Standing Sushi Bar @ Shinjuku, Tokyo. As the name of the restaurant implies- you have to STAND while eating your sushi. The place is really small and cramped, enough to squeeze perhaps 15 standing diners around the mini sushi bar. You are literally rubbing shoulders with the diner next to you, but for good sushi, who cares? It was a really new experience for me! Sushi chef blowtorches a fresh slab of sashimi, presumably to be used for one of their seared sushi items. WOAH. Hope you e...
