Choralation: September 2005
http://choralation.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Thoughts on choirs, singing and anything else that comes into my head. Tuesday, September 27, 2005. I found myself watching the Martin Scorcese documentary on Bob Dylan last night. I have to admit, I've never been a big Dylan fan. I can appreciate his unique place in the history of American popular music, but I still don't like him all that much. Still, there are a few things about the documentary that I found noteworthy:. Or at the Smithsonian Folkways. Posted by SJZ @ 11:07. Devices like the iPod threa...

Choralation: June 2005
http://choralation.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Thoughts on choirs, singing and anything else that comes into my head. Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Posted by SJZ @ 14:24. Tuesday, June 28, 2005. What’s going on here? It’s one thing to be a conservatory giving young singers a chance to learn roles while educating kids about opera. It’s another to be an institution seen as the mantle of opera in the United States trying to make a buck. I guess the important question to ask is How far will this go? What’s next, a Forty-minute ‘Figaro’? Posted by SJZ @ 13:53.

Choralation: November 2005
http://choralation.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Thoughts on choirs, singing and anything else that comes into my head. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. I'm really doing stuff, honest! I’ve got some nice duets and solos to sing and I’ve enjoyed working on the piece. Much of it sounds like outtakes from. Abduction from the Seraglio. With the Philadelphia Singers, Philly Orchestra and...
