Singing in the Silo. Poetry Haiku, Tanka, Haibun. The power of haiku. I believe the power of poetry, and haiku in particular, arises because it doesn’t tell the whole story. Instead, a haiku simply invites the reader into connecting to something from their own experience. I love this quote by Andrew Wyeth that names this invitation so well. From the tree’s reflection. Haiku day at Cha Cha Tea. I finish my tea. The cup still full. On Saturday, April 25, I will once again be guest poet at Cha Cha Tea.
