2016 SOS Sailing Schedule. Team SOS in Hospice Cup. You can become a First Mate, backing up the Skipper while on board. Helping to organize the cruises is a good opportunity to meet new friends. First Mates have been important members, assisting in the teaching of sailing and procedures for newer members. Having experience and the additional skills needed, our First Mates are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

2016 SOS Sailing Schedule. Team SOS in Hospice Cup. Safety in sailing and sailing knowledge are encouraged. We offer our members many opportunities to continually learn sailing skills. From tying knots to fiberglass repairs, chart reading and the Chesapeake’s wild life, we offer classes each spring. A Basic Skills course is valued and necessary for new members while sailing with more skilled sailors. For more information about Education, contact Emil Becker, emilbec@msn.com.
