Fathom thy eccentricities: April 2013
http://lifeofvi.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Not all who wander are lost! Sunday, April 07, 2013. You see, one thing is, I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. I don't feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in the mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell - possibly. It doesn't frighten me. Richard P. Feynman. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Many happy years later…now Shona wakes me up in the morning by licking my face with her sandpaper tongue and prying open my eyelids with her paw. I am very glad that you are living the dream now! Not all who wander are lost! Sunday, May 06, 2012. Marriam Webster has two different definitions for the word humane. Marked by compassion, sympathy, or consideration for humans or animals. Characterized by or tending to broad humanistic culture. Is it okay to show mercy toward somebody before you take them to a wall and shoot them in the back of the head, to minimize pain? Could that be considered humane? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I will let my blog speak about me .

Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Has anyone else noticed that it seems like almost everything these days either has a sex appeal or sexual undertones? Sometimes when I hear Jesus saying, "If you look at a woman with lust, you have already committed adultery with her in your heart.", I want to say back, "Well I'm sure that wasn't real hard back in the day in the Middle East where most the Jewish women were all covered up! So why woe to men? Because I don't think this is going to get any better? Its Been Too Long.

Thursday, February 02, 2006. Where will I be? Ok, I lied. I have been thinking about something recently. It humbled me to the point of realizing how self-centered an unaware of the rest of the world I am. As I was out walking one morning last week, I began to think about Thailand. I prayed for my friends and the missionaries that work over there. I missed them. All of sudden, a picture that one of the missionaries had described came to my mind:. Posted by Rick at 9:05 PM. Sunday, December 18, 2005. All this "Christmas" Brouhaha. The times are a changin'! I knew that the "holidays" were always going to have a secular approach and a Christian approach, but I never imagined it would come to this. If I were to be quite honest, it's not so much the retailers refusing to say "Merry Christmas" that upsets me. I can deal with that. It's the Christians who are trying to boycott retailers and point their fingers that upsets me. Why does it upset me? Let me start with the Word:.

Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Thirdly, I need time with non-Christians. They may not be able to encourage me spiritually, but they do keep me in tap with reality. I don't spend time with these kinds of people nearly as much as I should, especially being in full-time "church" ministry. But that's no excuse. Even though my "job" is to shepherd people within the church, I still need relationships with non-Christians. Posted by Rick at 3:40 PM. Birmingham, Alabama, United States. View my complete profile.
