Sunday, March 05, 2006. Ughso much for the mall today. We drove part of the way into town and decided it wasn't worth it. We're driving the car.not the SUV. and it just doesn't do as well in snow and boy oh boy is it snowing! Instead we picked up a few things we needed that were in a store on the way. and cancelled the mall trip for another day. Yuk. another day of getting into the mindset of shopping. ack ack ack! I hate to break it to you.but I think I'll be blogging a lot now. Lucky lucky you! I'm bei...

Sunday, October 01, 2006. I think this is it for me. I think this is the last time I will post on this little blog. Sometimes, things just get so crazy, zany, twisted, mixed, jumbly, and upside down in life that you miss things that you should have seen. Sometimes, you just have to step back. More than a couple of you have my msn or email addies, and I will be there if you want to touch base. Otherwise, Led will let you know if I am alive and kicking. Posted by woodland @ 8:00 AM. Sunday, April 30, 2006. Yuk that's about all I can say for the weekend weather. YUK YUK YUK.and again. add another yuk for good measure. It's simply unfair and pukey to have two days of non-stop drizzle and wind happening on my two days off. I had soooooooooooo much that I wanted to get done outside, but no no no no. instead I'm sitting here on the sofa watching the branches blow and the rain fall down. Needless to say. we passed on it all. No little critters found their way to my home. much ...Today I'm...

Monday, July 31, 2006. My little town was celebrating it's 125th birthday over the weekend. Each summer they have a celebration of sorts - the kind that small towns all over America have. It is fun, quaint, cute, and so dayum "Norman Rockwell". There were firetrucks and rescue squads from my little town as well as the surrounding ones. Life marches on in odd ways sometimes - one of my previous students was a fireman in one of the trucks. We waved our flags that had been passed out at the beginning of the...

Friday, June 30, 2006. Blast from the Past. Today I ran into someone I haven't seen in a long long while. That's been fine with me.she can be a bubbleheaddillyputz that mostly drove me bananas when we did hang out in the same circles. We talked for a few minutes, then both of us went merrily on our way relieved that the interlude was over and knowing it probably won't happen again for another several years. Yes, yes. I was the one that rained on her parade. Meanwhile, I kept my hair its own color in a po...

Thursday, August 31, 2006. Bears, Snakes, and Money. It's the last day before kids show up, but it certainly hasn't been dull. This morning one of the guy teachers and I spent some time at my house putting out bear bait. Yup, you heard me "bear bait". He's going to hunt mah bar and shoot it dead. I swear, I am probably going to start speaking redneck soon! More new kids have enrolled today. This is making photocopying extremely difficult! On a lighter note, I won $500 yesterday. that was completely o...

Wednesday, September 20, 2006. In the blink of an eye things can change. I am sad today. I lost something, but it suddenly pales in comparison to other things that are swirling around me. I woke up in the night feeling so sick, but it's really nothing. Tomorrow is the funeral of a ten year old girl. She was sweet, bubbly, bright, and had her entire life ahead of her. My friend's wife just found out she has cancer. I have known her for years. Our children went to daycare together. No, what we did instead ...

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Last night I decided to drag the laptop outside with me. I have two decks in back one is ground level, the other sits higher and overlooks the side and back of the yard and the pond. That one was my targeted spot. I grabbed the comp grabbed my coffee slipped outsideand there it was. Monsieur Bear was heading toward the lower deck with his black beady bear eyes on my hummingbird feeder. All good things must come to an end eventually and so did mine. Finally, one obnoxious crit...
