Sippycups and Fingerprints
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Birthday girl and birthday cake. She's one year old today! After a 3 day marathon birth, she came into the world beautiful pink with chubby cheeks, looking like her daddy and brothers, contentment in her big wide eyes, laid back as ever, oozing sweetness and gentleness. More than I could have ever dreamed! We call her LayneeK, LayneeBoo and my mom likes calling her Little Katsy, after her greatgrandma, whom she is named after. I affectionately call her, Stink. I'm not su...I sew...

Sippy Cups and Sass | Ordinary Wife and Mom Living an Ordinary Life Yet Trying to Create, Love and Live in an Extraordinary Way
Sippy Cups and Sass. Ordinary Wife and Mom Living an Ordinary Life Yet Trying to Create, Love and Live in an Extraordinary Way. May 12, 2015. Dearest Lincoln and Piper,. Do you notice the way my jaw clenches with stress and hear my heavy sighs between each task I mentally check off my “to do” list? Do you see me roll my eyes or groan in disgust and annoyance as I dust crumbs off my feet or scrub berry juice off the floor for the 5th time in 10 minutes? Do you forgive me? Do you know that all of the tears...

Sippy Cups and Skyscrapers | A Creative Life in the Big Apple
Sippy Cups and Skyscrapers. A Creative Life in the Big Apple. July 11, 2014. Amelie and I recently revisited the Children’s Museum of Art. Where a great deal of our time was spent playing with their giant tub of blue flubber. Flubber is a lot like silly putty – you can squish it, its bouncy, it’s stretchy, its sort of moldable but gooey at the same time, you can break it apart and squash it back together… in short, it’s a lot of fun! Flubbery fun at CMA. 1 cup of school glue (e.g. Elmers, PVA etc). Use y...

The two just don't mix. June 17, 2015. Letters to Jackson – 21 Months. June 17, 2015. You’re now 21 months (and some changemommy’s getting lazy) and definitely a full-blown toddler. Gone is the bald-headed baby who wobbled down the street while babbling incoherently (that description also sounds like some of the people keeping Austin weird) and here is the blonde-headed little boy that sprints down the street while yelling, Hey! No, no, no! At the construction workers nearby. You continue to thrive at yo...

Sippycups ARE for Chardonnay
Tuesday, April 20, 2010. I don't even know what to call this post, so it will have to remain titleless. Yes, it's been a long time! On March 3rd I had my tonsils taken out. After three episodes of strep throat this year I'd had it! I figured it was time. The kids were going to be with their Dad in Florida for Spring Break and I had someone to stay with me to take care of me so the timing seemed right. Leave it to a nurse to think all that "Tylenol toxicity" stuff wasn't for real. Needless to say, having ...

Sippy Cups Are Not For Starbucks
Monday, July 27, 2015. This summer is feeling like a bit of a throwback to what life may have been like generations ago. While the Minecraft was still buzzing on the iPad and KC Undercover was still on the television on occasion, it has also been a stretch of back to the basics. It didn't happen intentionally and it wasn't forced, it just sort of developed over time. We've all spent a lot of time outside. Mostly it was at the pool, but they've been outside more than ever before. The girls got their first...

Sippy Cups are not for Wine
Sippy Cups are not for Wine. Monday, March 19, 2012. So I had my appointment today. My non-stress test again, number 2 of many more. I had coffee this morning so Mia was very active and wouldn't stay on the monitor. But she passed the NST. Starting next week I'll have to go in 2x a week. Today I really had a lot of fluid! I had 32 last week and today fluid was measuring 36, which is severe Polyhydramnios. I feel so uncomfortable. Well until next time. Thursday, March 8, 2012. I'm just about 30 wks. So I'...
