Went to New Paris in SS2 for dinner just now; ordered some of the usual dishes (stirfried spinach, ribs in Chinese barbeque sauce, the restaurant's specialty tofu) and a fish dish. steamed talapia with spicy sauce. Siryn's Imaginarium: April 2006
http://sirynsimaginarium.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 29, 2006. My arm's feeling better and better. I've taken to removing my cast at home now, but it's always on when I go out, so people are more careful around me. Range of motion is still limited though, but I'm pushing it a little more every day. Can't wait to get back to dancing again! And of course, tying my hair with both hands, putting on my clothes normally again, etc. I had the good fortune of watching The Fire of Anatolia. On media passes (with my bro, Allegra and WY! Before the sh...

Wednesday, April 27, 2005. Dance, Work and Taxes. The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist. Is that the taxidermist leaves the skin. On the night of the 16th, Saturday, I went to an all-women's potluck party at the yoga studio. There were about 20-30 women, students of bellydance, flamenco and yoga as well as their friends. I brought bottles of sparkling grape and apple juice, which were quickly consumed soon after opening. The party was pretty fun; we performed 3 items! Met up with Loki f...

Siryn's Imaginarium: August 2006
http://sirynsimaginarium.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 13, 2006. It's a lovely lazy weekend for me. lots of sleep and surfin. :P I don't know what made me look up Snakes on a Plane. SoaP), that notoriously-titled movie starring Samuel L Jackson. The actor famously accepted the lead role in SoaP on the strength of the title alone, and demanded that the (working) title be retained when the studio tried to change it to the pretty boring Pacific Air Flight 121. No snakes in that! Where my snakes at? Here's some linky goodness I just had to share:.

Siryn's Imaginarium: July 2006

Tuesday, July 18, 2006. Goodbye, Powerpoint pencils! One of the reasons why most of the stock was gone in half an hour was because people just grabbed whatever they could from the MAC (and Bobbi Brown) counter, then squatted down somewhere to sort out what they want and what they don't. The 'rejects' were then returned to their respective counters for us late(r)comers to sift through. :P. Here's the list of my MAC loot from the sale:. Lipstick (Normal price: approx RM60 each). Goldenaire (gold-nude), Blue.

Siryn's Imaginarium: January 2007
http://sirynsimaginarium.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 20, 2007. Back in KL for nearly 2 weeks now. Fortunately, the weather wasn't scorching as I'd feared. Was back at work the day after I arrived, jumping in with two feet. still haven't really gotten back in the groove yet, and I feel more disenchanted the more time I spend there. On a more cheery note, I finally got my Zildjian zills. Which Nadya helped to order from a local music instrument shop (thanks, babe! We waited 6 months for it! Need to stop dreaming and start doing. :P. The cos...

Sunday, May 22, 2005. This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple;. He philosophy is kindness. I'm due to cover the Wesak. Procession this evening, starting at the Maha Vihara in Brickfields. Wesak Day is celebrated to commemorate the birth, enlightenment and passing away of Buddha 2,549(? But before I close this post, this is my result from the latest quiz I found:. You scored as Cultural Creative. Cultural Crea...
