Because my faithful two readers from my myspace blog demanded more! Monday, 10 November 2008. Apparently my blog has been described as *too geeky* lately; geez, as if there is such a thing! Adventures in geek: July 2008
http://nickyank.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Because my faithful two readers from my myspace blog demanded more! Monday, 21 July 2008. Elephant Man or Elephant Anne? Rather bad news today, I'm afraid our good friend Anne has been diagnosed with the distressing disease elephantisis. This is a picture of Anne before the disease set in:. As you can see, she's a pretty good looking lass. Alas, this is a pic taken earlier today:. This doesn't mean people can start calling her the Elephant Anne, because that's just cruel. Wednesday, 16 July 2008. Jumper,...

Adventures in geek
http://nickyank.blogspot.com/2010/06/my-first-in-probably-irregular-feature.html
Because my faithful two readers from my myspace blog demanded more! Thursday, 3 June 2010. My first in a probably irregular feature on people you should all know! Those fairly unknowns who help improve our geek life through films, TV, comics and books. So who is Jane Goldman. So she’s the wife of one of the UK’s biggest comic book nerds, but she has bigger geek credentials other than being married to one. She has BIG boobies, thats not really relevant, but thought it worth a mention. But Goldman has in r...

Again With the Comics: Comics' Numerical Nightmare
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2008/03/fun-with-numbers.html
Again With the Comics. Thursday, March 20, 2008. I was reminded today of something that both annoys the hell out of me, and which cannot ever really be fixed. After nearly two decades of reboots, restarts, and relaunches, there are precious few comics left that have kept their original numbering. It used to be a good. Restarted at #1 and the old Superman series numbering continued with Adventures of Superman. 424 Adventures of Superman went on for almost two decades, and only recently reverted to Superman.

Again With the Comics: DC is Losing Me.
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2011/03/dc-is-losing-me.html
Again With the Comics. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. DC is Losing Me. Photorealistic Bouncing Boy is TERRIFYING. Remember when the Legion of Superheroes. Was notoriously the DC book that was way too complicated to understand? Let's just admit that we've gotten to the point where the entire DCU is in a constant state of Legion-Level migraine inducing complexity, shall we? Okay, I'll be buying this one. My pull list for DC Comics is taking a massive hit in the next couple of months as my beloved Doom Patrol.

Again With the Comics: Legion of Subpar Villains: 100 Feet of Failure!
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2011/11/legion-of-subpar-villains-100-feet-of.html
Again With the Comics. Wednesday, November 02, 2011. Legion of Subpar Villains: 100 Feet of Failure! Made his one and only appearance in Wonder Woman #169 (April 1967), and surely must have driven WW artist Ross Andru "buggy" that month, having to draw all of those arms and legs. At least. Didn't require anyone's mouth to be surgically attached to anyone else's butt; just some godly intervention from the clouds:. That's right, Mars don't care what pantheon he's supposed to be in, so you know. Finally, Wo...

Again With the Comics: Alas, "The Governator" We Hardly Knew Ye.
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2011/05/alas-governator-we-hardly-knew-ye.html
Again With the Comics. Thursday, May 19, 2011. Alas, "The Governator" We Hardly Knew Ye. Well, at least this. Won't be happening now:. As described by Co-creator Stan Lee in the pages of Entertainment Weekly. 1149 (April 8, 2011) The Governator. Would have seen Arnold Schwarzenegger running around behind Maria's back -as a superhero. And a comic book series via Archie Comics. I love Stan, but given previous history, I'm pretty sure that if this "love child" fiasco hadn't happened, we would have seen ...

Again With the Comics: The Dreaded Porcupine: A Super-Villain You'll Never Forget!
http://www.againwiththecomics.com/2007/11/dreaded-porcupine-super-villain-youll.html
Again With the Comics. Friday, November 30, 2007. The Dreaded Porcupine: A Super-Villain You'll Never Forget! So after naming the Porcupine a “turkey”. I decided to re-read his very first appearance in the pages of Tales to Astonish. 48, and was mildly surprised to see that he actually had a pretty good thing going; aside from all the sucking, that is. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what-all the Porcupine can really do. Alex Gentry wouldn’t be a low-level scientist in a silver-age Marvel c...
