A Sista's Guide to Adoption. Sunday. A day that will live in infamy. Sunday was the day that A decided to go for the gusto and really see how far he could push me. It was NOT pretty. August 18, 2015. Today is August 18th. A Tuesday. Our intake appointment at the Second New Clinic is September 2nd, so just over two weeks away. I might actually start my period that day, but probably not since my periods have been getting shorter, which is apparently a sign of impending menopause. This will take some getting used to. August 6, 2015. I migrated my blog all by myself! I feel so grown up. I’m having a hard time setting it up the way I want it, but I guess I’ll get used to it as I continue to use it. So my “period” continues, such as it is. Some cramping, practically no bleeding at all, just a little bit of very watery old blood in the mornings and that’s it. Is that what a normal period is supposed to be like? Cramps galore →. Who am I and how did we get here? September 18, 2014. September 18, 2014. They would offer encouragement but it didn’t make it any better and why put them in that place? One thing that I’ve found on this journey is that it’s lonely. No one really understands unless they’ve been there. Friends offer to listen whenever you need to talk or cry but why put them in a place where they feel like they have to have those perfect words to make you feel better when there really are no words. May 19, 2016. Today I feel like I’m being stalked by beautiful babies! Everywhere I look I see babies. It got me to thinking. I just turned 43 May 2nd, and at this point I don’t know when I will become a Mom. I know women are having babies at a much older age, look at Janet Jackson! I thought about how I may never see my son or daughter get married or have a grandchild because I’m older! What about the responsibility of taking care of older parents? What if it’s our only child? Removed 43 fibroid tumors, had excessive bleeding and have to have UAE as well. Went through my second round of IVF but only produced 2 good follicles so cycle was cancelled. My blogging community came THROUGH! I’m going to work to implement the suggestions starting tonight. Having Wendy’s for dinner, you’re eating something at home. Which is what happened.
