A day in the life...: February 2012
http://amykring.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
A day in the life. Saturday, February 25, 2012. December started out with a bang! Lucy and I picked Emily and Gabo up in Chicago on December 1st. I was thrilled they would be coming for 6 whole weeks! God worked out the timing of my maternity leave, Gabo's green card, and Christmas so well. I am so thankful. December was a full month! Lucy and I also invaded the Burritt house, but it was a school night, so it was more of an adult visit this time. I mean, who wouldn't be excited to see this face! Instead,...

Sharing my heart with friends, family and supporters of my ministry. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. An Ode to the Amazing Husband. So we are a rare couple. We are from 2 different cultures. He loves music and does things based on feelings. I studied social work, I am very practical, love living in the reality and am very objective. On Sunday Gabo got an email from a guy who is the personal manager of a girl that Gabo helped do her showcase in 2009 when we were just "novios". He directed her band and everythi...

Sharing my heart with friends, family and supporters of my ministry. Sunday, January 22, 2012. Famous People and their Addictions. Etta James died this past week. Her song "At Last" was what I danced with my husband at our US reception. Here's a picture. What you can't see in this picture is that I am translating the words to him into Spanish. :) It's our little game we play. The perks of being married to a Mexican Musician. I guess my question is- what is the draw to a substance? Whether you are Johnny ...

Life with Emily: December 2012
http://emilybastine.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sharing my heart with friends, family and supporters of my ministry. Monday, December 03, 2012. Since coming back from the US, Gabo and I have found a new appreciation for our little apartment. We love thinking about how our little house will change and expand with the babe on the way. It's funny to look around our house and realize how little we have bought personally and how much our friends have given us. It's like our house is a little testimony of the people that touch our lives. Blogs I Check Out.

On Tuesday nights I have the girls over that have graduated from college but are just starting off in the "real world". It has turned into one of my favorite parts of the week. Life with Emily: Waiting
http://emilybastine.blogspot.com/2012/08/waiting.html
Sharing my heart with friends, family and supporters of my ministry. Monday, August 27, 2012. I never got to meet Gabo's mom. My mother-in-law died before I even came to Mexico. I can say that before this experience, I have never mourned the life of someone that I never met. I miss her. I feel like in our family dinners, there is an absence. This past weekend I had the privilege of meeting Gabo's aunt- his mom's only living sibling. Tia Tela lives in Los Angeles and just came back to visit. Being with Ti...
