Notes from the G Clef. Friday, May 30, 2014. Today we captured some great musical moments with Christopher. Whenever I start to play the piano, Christopher gets really excited and wants to come play too. We make sure to practice everyday. Christopher is learning how to buzz. He is the one buzzing at the start of the video and Curtis buzzes later into it. To me it sounds exactly the same! Thursday, May 22, 2014. The train station.6am. Walking the NYC streets. Statue of Liberty and South Ferry.

Notes from the G Clef: March 2014
http://jackieandcurtis.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Notes from the G Clef. Sunday, March 30, 2014. This recipe is adapted from the back of the chickpea can. It originally called for anchovies and tomato paste, but I substituted with what we had and it turned out wonderfully! I really like the texture of the chickpeas with pasta and it's hearty and yummy. You can leave it with more water for a soup-like consistency, or let the water boil out for more of a pasta consistency. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1 can stewed tomatoes. It was a really nice journal! As a s...

Notes from the G Clef: October 2014
http://jackieandcurtis.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Notes from the G Clef. Sunday, October 19, 2014. We went to Rose Orchards yesterday with some other Yale graduate students and their families. We took a school bus up! First order of business: order frozen custard and frozen yogurt! Christopher wanted to try some too. So we let him.seemed to go ok even with his dairy/eczema sensitivities. I'm not sure if he liked it though, haha. The leaves there were gorgeous! Christopher had a blast playing in them. Here we are waiting for the hayride. Big one year old.

Notes from the G Clef. Saturday, July 12, 2014. Before Christopher and I came to Utah, we took some videos of New Haven with Curtis. Christopher loves watching them and seeing his Daddy and his home. Sorry about the poor quality. These were just on my phone. This is at the New Haven Green. We happened to walk by when there was a brass group performing, so we stopped to watch and dance! Shopping. Christopher really likes sitting in the cart :). Waiting at the bus stop. Sorry for my annoying laugh. Spotlig...

Notes from the G Clef: June 2014
http://jackieandcurtis.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Notes from the G Clef. Saturday, June 14, 2014. Christopher has a fabulous Dad. You can tell he thinks the world of him. Take a look at this adorable face. His Daddy plays with him a lot. Curtis takes good care of Christopher. Curtis loves playing with Christopher outside (and Christopher loves it too). Here are some pictures from when we went to the Marsh Gardens. Christopher is sad in the next picture because he didn't want his picture taken with so much pink in the background ;). By Eli Whitney's grave.

Notes from the G Clef: Of Birthdays and Haircuts
http://jackieandcurtis.blogspot.com/2014/10/of-birthdays-and-haircuts.html
Notes from the G Clef. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Of Birthdays and Haircuts. About a month ago was Christopher's FIRST BIRTHDAY! We opened presents in the morning. Christopher LOVED the balloons. Big one year old. Brand new baby broom. Christopher is practicing his martial arts with it. He's gaining confidence walking. Now for some cake! Alas, it sank in the middle. At first, Christopher seemed like he was going to reject it. He held it out over the edge like he wanted to drop it. Tasted a small bite.
