Three sisters and their adventures in gardening. April 5, 2011. So I was pretty sure spring was arriving. All the signs were there, buds and blooms on tree, crocus, daffodils, and grape hyacinths all blooming. Things even dried up (almost) enough to mow part of the. Lawn I got my family outside in the yard all at the same time to work on making it presentable. It was wonderful, even magical. Three sisters and their adventures in gardening. May 29, 2015. So here it is the small piece of heaven that my husband and I are trying to purchase. My husband and I have moved a lot. At lease once a year if not more for the last 10 years (don't ask me why I guess we just like moving) but now we are buying (not renting) a place and hope to be there for the next 4 year; he says forever but we'll see that moving bug might bite us again. So what does any of this have to do with Sister Seedlings?

Three sisters and their adventures in gardening. July 7, 2016. A Different Kind of Pumpkin Soup. Two shovels of rabbit manure (or any composted manure). Three to four shovels of weed free top soil. Seeds from last years pumpkins. Mix manure and soil in 5 gallon bucket. Moisten with lots of water (think making mud pie). Once you have a nice slurry add last year seeds. Thursday, June 26, 2014. Gray morning clouds my second day walking. Today I got up and went! Today is just over halfway to making it a habit. Today my brain got me going, yesterday it was my body. One of these mornings I am sure it will be the dog making sure I don’t slack off. I have been walking every morning for eleven days! I even made it through the dreaded first weekend! And the next day I needed sunglasses! My third harvest of baby radishes. I prefer them this way when I have them for breakfast.

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. I am giving up Clutter for Lent. No I am not Catholic or any religion that actual observes Lent. I just like the idea of giving something up to renew your life. My general plan is to try for 40 bags. Of clutter/trash/junk out of my house. I got this idea from Clover Lane (love her ideas and her encouragement for the week. Everything cleaned out and my darling husband scrubbing the floor. He cleaned everything out! Here is a picture of everything that was shoved into the room.

Monday, October 28, 2013. So she comes running in wearing the enamel bowl we use for chili while camping telling me to come look at her riding her motorcycle. I tell her I love it and I do! Sunday, March 3, 2013. On my quest to be strong enough to surf in Hawaii this year I have been trying 2 new things; Crossfit and Paleo. The results have been amazing and I will share more another day but today I just wanted to share this amazing new recipe! It is a bean-less chili and it was so very yummy. Of course we ruined the Paleo-ness of it by making a batch of corn bread to devour with it. Oh well baby steps right? 1 32 oz jar of tomatoes. 1 teaspoon of chili powder (more if you like it hot!
