Thursday, May 17, 2012. Summer is such a busy time of the year for people, we have so many things that we want to do, and then there is the added work from caring for the out of doors. I do love my flowers, but they do demand daily attention. Now of course I tend to be excessive compulsive at times and I think how I could do a nine patch AND I could paper piece a flower every day so I could have two quilts. We will see how that goes. Sunday, March 24, 2013. So interesting to me how life takes twists and turns and how you think that things will never change. But they do. Lately I have had some dramatic changes in my life dropped like a shoe that was stored on the top shelf of the closet. Whack, right on the head. This is when I crawl back into my comfort zone, start to cozy up my house, have dates with my grandsons and make sure that those around me know how much I love them, appreciate them and need them. I have done the footwork, the planning, the construction, and have enjoyed the appreciation of the accomplishment. The interesting part that I didn't count on was the constant work involved in keeping things this way. It is a process that has to become habit. Monday, June 10, 2013. My quilt like this is coming together very nicely, in fact, it is in ten pieces now. So soon this vision will be a reality. I admit to having an on and off relationship with most of my hand pieced projects, so when the get close to reaching the finish line it gets very exciting. Friday, November 19, 2010. Good bye Old Friend. For the past couple of years, our heating system has not been working well. We knew we needed a new one but we don't think about it during the summer. Our system was over 30 years old and only had a 10 year warranty. We knew we were on borrowed time. Once we started removing walls we had great access to the old system. We scheduled in Sanitary Plumbing and Heating from Olympia to do the work. There will be walls around the heating system to hide it later on.

Well, I combined a few and I think I made what Gary and I think is quite good. One bowl of this is all you need to be full. I also made a sausage Tortellini. Stew but I forgot to take a picture. Sunday, August 22, 2010. I thought it rained a lot in Chehalis, but it really rained here in Provo Thursday. Of course, it was while we were out running some errands. 39 of an inch in 5 minutes. 66 of an inch in 10 minutes. 87 of an inch in 15 minutes. These rainfall amount broke previous records from 1945 and 1954. Gary was dropping me off at a bookstore when the rain first hit. I just took a little more time shopping! Sunday, August 22, 2010. I frequently find pieces of old games, puzzles etc. I have a drawer that I put them in and occasionally the lost part finds its master.
