Friday, September 16, 2011. Our hotel is located centrally so we are able to walk to everything. We. Came upon The Galleria deli Uffizi. This is the greatest collection of Italian paintings anywhere featuring works by Giotto, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, Titan,and Botticelli. The line didn't look so long so in we decided to wait. It took about an hour. We were inside for about an hour and half. It was all pretty incredible. Everything is so old and so well preserved. We were now ready for dinner.

Tuesday, September 13, 2011. First, I have to say we haven't had any luck with the Internet. Hopefully, today will be the day and I will do all my postings at once. Friday, September 16, 2011. Bones have been here (originally in a previous church) since the 800's. On our way home we stopped at the train station to reserve our tickets to Florence in the morning. We returned to our room for showers and a rest. I am listening to a conversation between Judy and Eileen. As Judy is looking out our window, she says the building across the walkway appears close enough to jump. Eileen says it could look deceiving. I am thinking no wine for Judy. Eileens note before leaving.

Monday, September 12, 2011. We were on to our reservation to see the Last Supper painting by Leonardo da Vinci at the Church of Santa Maria Della Grazie (1652). This was a 15 minute viewing w/a guide in an air-controlled room. Unbelievable. After that we viewed the church -so old, so much to look at, so beautiful. Sunday, September 18, 2011. We came in by train arriving in Verannza about 12:30 from Florence. We had to change trains twice in three hours. Cinque Terre is an area along the coast of five small villages that are connected by a walking path. I was hoping when we arrived that this was going to be restful and lovely. That does not mean that we have been sitting in our rocking chairs, but since we are not traveling and have sold our motorhome I do not have that much to write about. Mom was great, she turned the kitchen over to us and Herm and her did the gardening. It was great seeing everyone and now that we are back home you are all invited to our place. I have just ordered another 20# of coconut oil, I can't imagine how much that will make. Every drawer or cupboard you open in the motorhome you will find soap. I have ran out of space to store it.
