Cinta speaks: October 2013
http://cintaspeaks.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 31, 2013. Saba ka mangala - May all be happy. Yesterday I received an email from the guiding Vipassana group, with a link to a lengthy newsletter devoted to this wonderful man. I wish I could share the link, but the site is password protected and while everyone who has ever completed a 10-day course anywhere in the world knows the login, we are asked not to divulge it, and I honor that request. I found it truly worthwhile to read. 8220;So much has been said for and against conversion...

Cinta speaks: Believe nothing
http://cintaspeaks.blogspot.com/2015/05/believe-nothing.html
Saturday, May 23, 2015. One of the first things I learned, in my first ever meditation retreat where I heard my first Buddhist teachings (a 10-day Goenka. Retreat many years ago), was that we should not accept the teachings blindly, that they were intended to be used experientially. They only asked that we try it with an open mind and see for ourselves whether or not the teachings and practice were beneficial to us. Including ourselves first and foremost. There is no 'idol worship' involved. I've...We le...

Capricious: June 2015
http://mskittyspub.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Given to sudden behavior change, fanciful, irrepressible, spirited, whimsical and by all means, unpredictable. What will today bring? Saturday, June 27, 2015. Morning walks, afternoon track meet. After climbing up a steep hill on the right-of-way (I was actually proud of how quickly I scuttled up this longish and steepish trail! After that, I walked the originally intended running path to the first cross road then returned home. It was a good walk. Naturally, I was soaked from the inside out and ...Anoth...

Capricious: December 2014
http://mskittyspub.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Given to sudden behavior change, fanciful, irrepressible, spirited, whimsical and by all means, unpredictable. What will today bring? Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Good as new - - and then some! Surprise call from the body shop this afternoon - car ready to pick up already! Yesterday was in the mid-40s or thereabouts and I thought it would be about the same now. Wrong! It was a chilly walk and when I got in the car the temp read 31. By the time I got home it was 30. Cold. Before - hard to see all the dirt,...

Capricious: March 2015
http://mskittyspub.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Given to sudden behavior change, fanciful, irrepressible, spirited, whimsical and by all means, unpredictable. What will today bring? Monday, March 30, 2015. D-day - as in, Diet Day. Today is day one, of 21. The book calls for dropping red meat and alcohol today, but both are a moot point. I can't remember the last time I had red meat, and alcohol is sporadic at best. So, no biggie for that. And, the things that are allowed are basically the things I eat, anyway, so that's not a problem. So - I'll follow...

Capricious: July 2015
http://mskittyspub.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Given to sudden behavior change, fanciful, irrepressible, spirited, whimsical and by all means, unpredictable. What will today bring? Monday, July 27, 2015. What's happening with me. Details aren't important. I will say that for the first 5 days or so things were uncomfortable, but that's all. Nothing to worry about. Starting Wednesday evening and really hitting Thursday morning, my whole body seemed to hit 'reject! Links to this post. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Stress, Anxiety and Depression. By Sharon S...

Given to sudden behavior change, fanciful, irrepressible, spirited, whimsical and by all means, unpredictable. What will today bring? Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Use it or lose it. More fun than the gym, no doubt! Lots of workout for an old lady! Tomorrow will be something of a rest day, as I have a doc appt in the morning. I'll do a little walking, but nothing much. Friday, back at the gym. Links to this post. Saturday, January 24, 2015. It feels like spring. The door is open, the place is airing out, ...

Capricious: Life is good
http://mskittyspub.blogspot.com/2015/08/life-is-good.html
Given to sudden behavior change, fanciful, irrepressible, spirited, whimsical and by all means, unpredictable. What will today bring? Friday, August 7, 2015. This gal's had a busy day! Sometimes I see things I'd like to comment on, so eventually maybe I will. But you really need to have something. To say before sending one! And no, I'm not going to offer up my handle here. Anybody wants it, email me, but I really don't think anybody I know who reads this has. I could be wrong. Take a Mindful Moment right...

Capricious: Treadmill or hiking in the woods?
http://mskittyspub.blogspot.com/2015/08/treadmill-or-hiking-in-woods.html
Given to sudden behavior change, fanciful, irrepressible, spirited, whimsical and by all means, unpredictable. What will today bring? Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Treadmill or hiking in the woods? Getting back into the exercise routine always requires a certain amount of determination. Didn't have any problems getting to the gym yesterday, but last night I thought it would be fun (? But realistically, they both have their good points and somehow, it's easier to get myself motivated to drive to the gym than i...
