Brazil Vacation Summer of 2006. Saturday, September 09, 2006. What did we do for our summer vacation? We spent 2 weeks in Brazil enjoying the beaches at the northeast state of Pernambuco, eating the great local food, drinking ice cold beers, coconut water and caipirinhas, visiting friends and family in Rio, and reuniting with relatives in São Paulo we had not seen for many years. We also did some shopping, of course. It was truly a great vacation! We'd love to do it all over again :-). Sand Buggy Day Trip.

Located at the Muro Alto Beach in the district of Ipojuca in Pernambuco. On our 2nd day in Pernambuco, we spent the day at the Porto de Galinhas Beach, considered the most beautiful beach of the state. It's famous for it barrier reefs and is best visited during low tide. It was a great opportunity to meet up with old friends, family, enjoy the local cuisine and do some shopping.
