Siv Spurgeon is a representational watercolor artist. Her paintings often feature tightly cropped views of objects found around us. She loves to capture the feeling of light and strives for a strong composition of her subject matter. Her training as an engineer may explain her love of drawing and her fascination with complex and highly detailed subjects. She has recently started to experiment with more abstract work. It is based on my daughter's clown doll collection. The plain doll on the right inspired me to position him so that the more fanciful dolls on the left appear to push him out of the picture. Although I would never consciously have started out with these colors, so different from my regular palette, I kind of liked it when it was done and I had enhanced some areas with colored pencils. Søndag 21. august 2011. Min nye hest - Diesel! Etter mye grubling og frem og tilbake bestemte jeg meg (sammen med Even) for å kjøpe Diesel, som jeg har hatt på for to sommere på rad nå. Han var til salgs, og hadde ikke jeg kjøpt han hadde han blitt solgt til noen andre. Denne tanken plaget meg, da jeg hadde funnet god kjemi med denne karen og likte han utrolig godt.
