The Nifty Thrifty: An Odd Egg. Another slow couple weeks of thrifting out here, but I picked up a few interesting finds this week to share. Part of the reason I've been too busy to thrift is I've been working more, since I got a part-time job at Fig. The awesome store that carries my antlers and ornaments! Haha) I finally joined the 21st century and got an iPhone (my first smartphone, yay! And I've been using my new little device to start posting on our long ignored Instagram. We have found that estate s...

Monday April 18, 2011. Ah, hello there Pyrex fans! Sorry we haven’t updated in a while, it’s mostly because our Pyrex collecting has slowed down quite a lot over the past year. There is only so much room in our house, and most of you know that Pyrex takes up a lot of space. We’ve also slowed down because (is this possible? Now we are getting more selective and are only picking up harder-to-find pieces. Like this Embroidery cinderella bowl! Another recent find is this Balloons. It’s actually a Chip ...

Nancy on Wine: May 2011
http://nancyonwine.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
A blog about wine and life. Sunday, May 1, 2011. Dinner party featuring Champagne, Burgundy, Pinot Noir and Riesling brings happy faces. Had the privilege of having some people over last evening that enjoy the intersection of fine wine, homemade food, and good-natured Saturday-night comraderie. With the salmon rillettes, we drank two blanc de blancs Champagnes: non-vintage Agrapart et Fils 7 Cru Blanc de Blancs. A house favorite at our place, and non-vintage Moncuit Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru. Next came t...

Little Brick Bungalow: I've got the Blues...
http://littlebrickbungalow.blogspot.com/2012/06/ive-got-blues.html
Wednesday, June 6, 2012. I've got the Blues. I've had some luck finding some blues recently:. This was found at an antique mall, I paid $8.00 for it. The tag incorrectly stated that it was a "single Pyrex Butterprint bowl", I couldn't believe it! I have wanted this one for awhile now, and I'm very happy with it. The baker and pie dish were from a trade, and the loaf was found online for around $9.00. Fire King Gazelle. It's not 'new', I picked it up months ago, but never blogged about it. It fits...And f...

Little Brick Bungalow: Blogging...
http://littlebrickbungalow.blogspot.com/2013/01/blogging.html
Thursday, January 10, 2013. I have a hard time keeping up with my blogs! I was trying to do 2, one for the house/dishes etc.& 1 for the yard/birds. I have not updated either for months! So, now I will just keep it to 1, and let it ride. I've been feeding the birds in the yard for about 5 years now, and this cute little Red Breasted Nuthatch is a new visitor. The only two things that I am leaving alone are: 1. The original to the house sink. It looks exactly like this one: farmhouse sink. Little Brick Bun...

Nancy on Wine: April 2011
http://nancyonwine.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
A blog about wine and life. Monday, April 4, 2011. Canadian red wine with rack of lamb - not bad for a Monday. The last time I was in my hometown of Vancouver, I saw my cousin Marion, who gave me a bottle of red wine from one of her favored British Columbian producers. I saved it to open tonight since rack of lamb is in the oven. The wine is 2008 Laughing Stock Vineyards, Portfolio. Saturday, April 2, 2011. Pouring Salwey reds and Hooked Riesling @ El Vino Wine Shop for Venice Beach's "First Friday".
