Dream it. Do it! Skip to primary content. IRKUTSK, Our gateway to Baikal. August 5, 2015. Our exploration was very random. We wanted to see more, sadly Irkutsk turned out not to be a town full of picturesque wooden buildings with lace like features around window frames and under roofs. Following this, wooden building within the town centre were banned, within two years most was rebuilt in stones. Notify me...

We had great time circumnavigating the island and revisiting Boreray and the stacks on board of the Elisabeth G. Then it was the infamous long crossing back to the mainland Harris. Dream it. Do it! Skip to primary content. Our first proper introduction to sea kayaking was a six days paddling at the Isle of Scillies with Sea Kayaking Cornwall. Here, we met Simon, who told Michal about his circumnavigation of Britain. Michal was hooked, while I started my battle with the fear of being upside down in the water. Again, little did I know that two and half years later I would be fighting with much more. As we decided to go and circumnavigate Britain ourselves. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Dream it. Do it! Skip to primary content. Arshan, the foothills of the Sayans. August 9, 2015. Irkutsk was not only our gateway to Baikal but also to the mountains. Since none of us had spent much time researching, planning and looking for places to visit before we left, we decided to travel at random and take what comes. And for this reason we found ourselves travelling towards the Sayan mountains. Here we decided to spent few days among the greenery and wilderness. This entry was posted in Non paddling.
