Monday, November 28, 2011. I sort of dreaded this happening before the house was finished because it means you can't walk on the floors - trades can't come in to do their jobs, and neither can we. More to the point, the floor costs an arm and a leg. It's not designed for muddy boots or scratchy equipment. The man from John Lewis says we have to cover it up, good style. Thursday, August 25, 2011. Bricks, we want more bricks. August 25th - I find myself scanning the skies all day hoping the rain will hold off so we can get this up and get the roof on. Spent today trying to get our name on the utility bills at the rental cottage, moving our phone number and re-directing our Sky TV. I'll be glad when this is over.
