Life in the Slow Lane: Summer 2015----Lake House, part 3
http://jlwiers.blogspot.com/2015/08/summer-2015-lake-house-part-3.html
Life in the Slow Lane. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Summer 2015- - Lake House, part 3. A Wiers family vacation would really not be complete if we didn't go out for ice cream. Sometimes we have had multiple ice cream outings, but this time we only managed one. It was a bit of a drive, but it was worth it. The ice cream was great! And just a few blocks from the ice cream place there was a park with a fantastic playground for the kids. So the kids could work off their sugar with some playground fun. Summer 201...

Life in the Slow Lane: July 2014
http://jlwiers.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Life in the Slow Lane. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. A note here- -my original post about this somehow got deleted, so I sort of re-did it. May not be quite the same, but pretty similar. But that means this post and the next one are out of order. I am a very frustrated computer user right now. Sometimes I think I ought to never touch the thing again! They were all hungry for dinner, so the Culver's near the airport was our first stop. Started off with a Harley ride. That's what our summer has been like.).

Life in the Slow Lane: February 2015
http://jlwiers.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Life in the Slow Lane. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. February 1st was a big day! Hope Caroline was baptized, and also the Wissinks were welcomed as new members at Calvary Reformed Church in Holland (Calvary on 8th). The weather was great for our drive over on Saturday, but this is what we woke up to on Sunday. The blanket that Hope is lying on is pretty special, too. It was made by Bob's Grandma Wiers, before Matt was born. So that would be Hope's great-great-grandma! Before going into church. The weather ...

Life in the Slow Lane: Summer 2015---Lake House, Part 5
http://jlwiers.blogspot.com/2015/08/summer-2015-lake-house-part-5.html
Life in the Slow Lane. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Summer 2015- -Lake House, Part 5. This post is just going to be a bunch or random pictures- -mostly of the kids- -of what was going on when we weren't out by the lake or on the boat, etc. There was lots of game-playing and lots of time spent playing with Hope. (The quality of some of these pictures is not great- sometimes due to the photographer and sometimes due to children who move quickly.). And sometimes with Grandpa. Looks like they figured it out.

Life in the Slow Lane: November 2014
http://jlwiers.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Life in the Slow Lane. Tuesday, November 18, 2014. November 6 was a big day for us- -our first "real" Grandparents' Day! Of course, Bob has been through many of them as principal, and we have both had the opportunity to fill in as substitute grandparents at BCS. But this was our first time to be at Grandparents' Day with our own grandchild. And it was pretty special! Making the leaf booklet with Grandma Wissink. He showed us how to use the "stompers.". Not as easy as it looks. And a photo op with Grandma...

Life in the Slow Lane: Summer 2015---Lake House, part 1
http://jlwiers.blogspot.com/2015/08/summer-2015-lake-house-part-1.html
Life in the Slow Lane. Sunday, August 2, 2015. Summer 2015- -Lake House, part 1. Our family vacation week was spent in a wonderful lake house on Pistakee Bay in northern Illinois. We are extremely grateful to Abby and Neil's friend Jens for letting us use his beautiful home. It was large enough to accommodate all of us very comfortably, and even had a dining room table that was big enough for all of us! Our "home away from home" for 5 days. Jet ski rides were a hit! Lawn games- Bags and Spike Ball. 4th o...

The Van Arendonk Family: Lake Anna 6.0
http://thevanarendonks.blogspot.com/2015/08/lake-anna-60.html
The Van Arendonk Family. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Lake Anna 6.0. We were able to make our annual trip to stay with family friends at Lake Anna last month. We cherish this tradition and plan to make our 7th trip next spring before we relocate down south. The girls insisted on a dinner picnic date with Mr. Fran (and their canine friend Sadie) on the patio to start the evening. The first order of business after dinner was taking a ride on the boat. Anika and Amira love helping drive the boat. We also enjoy...

The Van Arendonk Family: 8 Months
http://thevanarendonks.blogspot.com/2015/08/8-months.html
The Van Arendonk Family. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. The reality of life as the fourth child. :) All the same, here are Harrison's stats from last month:. Weight: 22 1/2 lbs. (94th percentile). Height: 28 3/4 inches (84th percentile). Head Circumference: 47 cm (97th percentile). Our little man is on the move! He has mastered crawling, and he is the first of our four children to crawl on all fours! He is constantly on the move, which has made life interesting and even more busy than it was one month ago.
