Can get out of irons. Can go about (Close reach to close reach). Can crew a dinghy effectively. Can sail shallow triangle under supervision (gybe optional). Knows what is meant by a gybe.

Sailing a triangle course. Gybing from a training run. Righting a capsized dinghy efficiently as helmsman / crew. Coming alongside a moored boat.

Can set up a boat according to weather conditions using sail and rig controls eg Mast rake, reefing. Can store a dinghy fully without assistance. Figure of 8, Round turn and 2 half hitches, reef knot, Bowline, Clove Hitch and Rolling Hitch, Sheet Bend. Can demonstrate techniques and manoeuvres in Stage 3 in a crewed boat. Sailing a triangle course. Gybing from a training run.
