Sunday, September 2, 2012. I participated in my 4th Half-Marathon this past Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012. It was the Women's Half-Marathon in Indianapolis. This is the first out of town race I have done. Friday night when I went to bed I was expecting to wake up to rain from hurricaine Isaac, but to my surprise the rain held off and we were able to complete the whole race with no rain! Dena's Trip to South Africa. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. I am going through the Health Department's Foreign Travel Clinic to get the necessary vaccines for South Africa. They provide what is recommended by the Center for Disease Control. I will have to get two shots - a tetnus booster and Hepatitis A(one now and another in 6 months). For Typhoid I will have to take a pill every other day for four days. I made an appointment in late March for these. Luckily I only had to pay my $10 co-pay. Dan and Jane Ha...

Isaac, Jacob and I went down to Speedway this evening to see the 'Parade of Haulers.' 40 or more NASCAR haulers in a long line. All of their favorites (and Daddy's too) including Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhart Jr. We are planning to attend practice at the track tomorrow. I expect to be awakened before 6 AM. Practice starts at 2.

Sunday was the last day of scouts for the year. Isaac moved up to the Webelos rank, and Jacob to the Wolf rank. They will start this summer working on requirements for their new ranks. To celebrate the year both boys built model rockets and launched them. Jacob's was 'The Flame' a light rocket that flew so high we lost sight of it.

Sunday, October 27, 2013. On October 5th I participated in the Evansville Half-Marathon. This was my 5th Half-Marathon! That alone is so hard for me to believe. I can still remember my first half, I walked the whole thing. I decided back in July when I started training that I wanted to finish this race with a personal best time. My previous best was 2 hours 44 minutes. I felt confident I could reach my goal because I made it part of my Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Isaac is working hard on piano and progressing to both hands on many pieces. He is currently preparing for the Hendricks County Music Festival in March. He doesn't always want to practice, but he is doing so well. Sorry it's sideways.:( Any ideas on how to rotate? Here's a video of Cukoo. :) Love to you all!

Thursday, February 6, 2014. If It Doesn't CHALLENGE You, It Doesn't CHANGE You! It was a very unhealthy cycle and I wasn’t feeling good about myself. I hoped and prayed the Challenge would be my answer to ending the cycle and God didn’t let me down! I have accomplished so much this year: I’ve lost 13.5lbs and 9 inches!
