We're all packed and just waiting for the taxi to take us to the airport. We're hoping for an easier experience at check-in than we had coming down. Saturday, October 27, 2007. After breakfast, we were sitting in the courtyard with her, and heard "Vicky! From behind us. A little six year old girl from the same orphanage recognized her and came running up to sit with her. I heard her tell Olivia that Laura was "Momma" while they were together. After we got back to our room and while they were playing, Olivia turned to Laura and called her "Momma" as plainly as she could. She also smiled! Posted by The Skeens. Saturday, October 27, 2007. End of Day #2. Bedtime was rough last night; not so bad tonight. Laura gave her a book that has pop-ups on every page, and she's been fascinated with it all afternoon. She got her pj's on and went straight to Laura with the book to read before bed. Report from Debbie is that Ashley is doing well and having a good time. Saturday, July 10, 2010. The Greatest Show on Earth! That's her hand in Brennan's face as she was waving them to the music! We were able to see the animals in their pens before the show started, and the clowns gave an up-close and personal show on the floor while we walked around and watched them before the circus acts began. Monday, February 15, 2010. Ride 'em, Cowgirls! Little Lambs Preschool celebrated the Houston Rodeo in February by having the kids participate in some horse-themed activities. They got to ride a pony and have their picture taken on it. While Ashley wasn't in preschool yet, they let her participate in the horse ride. Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Playdate with a Horse, a Pony and some New Friends! Both Ashley and Olivia enjoyed riding the horses. Afterwards, we had a picnic under a nice big tree with a gentle breeze blowing. It reminded me of our backyard when we were growing up…very relaxing. It was a wonderful day! You both look so cute. Ashley got the “cool” idea that she and her sister, Olivia, ought to put on their winter hats, scarves, and mittens to get the ice cream out of the freezer so they would not be cold!
