The Brown Lounge: Good thing my internal filter (somewhat) works
http://thebrownlounge.blogspot.com/2009/01/good-thing-my-internal-filter-somewhat.html
Saturday, January 31, 2009. Good thing my internal filter (somewhat) works. I am waiting outside Jack's Urban Eats. Holding Jack (the dog, who does not partake in salads), while my kind coworker waits in line to fetch our office's lunch orders. Enter Crazy Dog Walker Lady, stage left. Your dog looks just like mine! What breed is he? She asks. Your dog has four legs, is tan and has a dark muzzle. that's pretty much where the similarities end. But OK. Can I give him some corndog? She asks when I'm due....

The Brown Lounge: "Ask your prescriber..."
http://thebrownlounge.blogspot.com/2009/01/ask-your-prescriber.html
Sunday, January 11, 2009. Ask your prescriber.". I noticed while casually watching an AmbienCR commercial that instead of the usual pharmaceutical sales ad line "ask your doctor about ", the AmbienCR commercial actually said "Ask your prescriber about Ambien." Way to cut to the chase, Ambien. So that's all doctors are nowadays - prescribers? Write your comment in the box below. If you don't have a gmail account, click "anonymous.". The Brown Lounge: Going a little batty

Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Going a little batty. January 22, 2009 at 1:07 PM. I AM SO JEALOUS! My plan has always been to put up a bat house if I ever get a house of my own. March 4, 2009 at 12:27 AM. Hmm am i missing sarcasm here? Are you sure you want a colony of 200 bats living on your roof? Ah can you tell I am avoiding sleep? It's only 12:30am, the night is young! The Brown Lounge: Death of a Phonebook
http://thebrownlounge.blogspot.com/2008/07/death-of-phonebook.html
Thursday, July 31, 2008. Death of a Phonebook. Xanadu's favorite activity is to destroy things. (She and Jack have that in common.) One of her favorite things to destroy is a phone book. Good thing, because we keep finding new phone books on our driveway from the various companies. What are they thinking? Who uses a paper phone book nowadays? On the rare occasion that we need one, we need ONE, not ten. So Xanadu gets the books. This is Xanadu's handiwork at 7 pm She's had a long day. The Humane Spot Blog.

The Brown Lounge: We use Google, not phone books
http://thebrownlounge.blogspot.com/2009/05/we-use-google-not-phone-books.html
Thursday, May 28, 2009. We use Google, not phone books. As much as Xanadu excels at destroying telephone books. We'd rather not stockpile the number of phone books that we seem to accumulate. It seems there's a new one at the bottom of our driveway once a month! It's obscene to think about the number of trees involved in their production. So, I opted out of receiving telephone books today. Hopefully it will work. Check out yellowpagesgoesgreen.org. If you'd like to opt out, too. June 1, 2009 at 11:04 PM.

The Brown Lounge: Head down and ready to go
http://thebrownlounge.blogspot.com/2009/02/head-down-and-ready-to-go.html
Friday, February 20, 2009. Head down and ready to go. This explains the pressure I've been feeling for the past week. I've been curious about the baby's position, so I was excited to have had the opportunity to find out what's going on. I'm also excited to learn that there's little chance of the baby changing positions at this point. I must say how weird it is to have the adjective "small" used to describe any attribute of mine for the first time in my life. February 23, 2009 at 9:19 AM.

The Brown Lounge: Oops.
http://thebrownlounge.blogspot.com/2009/05/oops.html
Saturday, May 16, 2009. So we've had a baby for a month now. He's beautiful and perfect in every way. Labor and delivery went extremely well; no horror stories. Recovery has also been smooth. Despite all this great news, somehow I've neglected the blog. Some day we'll get back to it, I'm sure! Write your comment in the box below. If you don't have a gmail account, click "anonymous.". The Brown Lounge: Diaper duty
http://thebrownlounge.blogspot.com/2009/05/diaper-duty.html
Thursday, May 21, 2009. So the question is, what kind? Cloth diapers are an investment. They save money in the long run, but are not cheap to purchase new. There are many different brands and styles. There are the prefolds. That we've been using. There are the all-in-ones, like BumGenius. Then there is one brand that seems to combine the best features of each - GroBaby. The Brown Lounge: Update from Jack's mom's family
http://thebrownlounge.blogspot.com/2009/01/update-from-jacks-mom.html
Sunday, January 11, 2009. Update from Jack's mom's family. We received a wonderful e-mail from Jack's mother's family, updating us on how she's doing. First of all, Zoe (formerly Zinfandel) looks absolutely incredible. Look how happy she is! And how shiny her coat has become! For reference, check out these pics. From when she first arrived with us.). That's her older "brother" Cole, 11 years old, on the left.). We really enjoyed reading about her personality, and how similar Jack is to her!
