Blades and Brushes: Sketchpad basics
http://bladesandbrushes.blogspot.com/2011/06/sketchpad-basics.html
The Art of Jonathan Caubang. Thursday, June 2, 2011. So, being away tends to be good artistic training. A computer doesn’t magically make bad fundamentals just go away, sometimes it just amplifies them. A building needs a foundation if you want it to reach the sky. For art, my time on the island is a welcome thing. Of course paid vacations make it even nicer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Simple theme. Theme images by gaffera.

Blades and Brushes: What is best in life?
http://bladesandbrushes.blogspot.com/2011/05/what-is-best-in-life.html
The Art of Jonathan Caubang. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. What is best in life? To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. Oh yes, and ramen really good ramen. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What is best in life? Simple theme. Theme images by gaffera.

Blades and Brushes: Comic Con
http://bladesandbrushes.blogspot.com/2010/07/comic-con.html
The Art of Jonathan Caubang. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. It's officially Comic Con! I'm looking forward to getting to the convention center tonight. There's always been a boost of creativity during and after being at San Diego Comic Con every year I go. Although Kuroi Ookami Studios wasn't able to get a booth this year, it's still going to be a good time. We'll try again next year, at the very least, I'll try to get a table in Artist's Alley. Blades and Brushes: May 2010
http://bladesandbrushes.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
The Art of Jonathan Caubang. Sunday, May 23, 2010. I spent much of the week checking eBay, keeping up with status of the Comics for Cures auction. Although I must admit that I enjoyed watching the bidding on my own work, I found just as much excitement watching the bidding for other artists. It does make me proud, being able to contribute to this wonderful cause. I am looking forward to seeing where my art will take me and to looking back to see how much I’ve improved. Blades and Brushes: April 2010
http://bladesandbrushes.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The Art of Jonathan Caubang. Monday, April 12, 2010. The Art of War, The War of Art. In the same way that I would draw the sword to cut. I take the brush with the same commitment and leave marks of ink on paper. The sword cuts ignorance. The light cutting through the darkness. The other, the art of creation. Presenting my gift to the world. Mara is always if front of me. He wants me to turn from my art. He wishes me to forget sacrifice. He wants me to take the fleeting pleasures. With him lacks compassion.
