arroz con siempre: February 2015
http://arrozconsiempre.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Not everyone who wanders is lost. Tolkien. Saturday, February 28, 2015. I have spent months working and reworking my first knitted sock ever. Finally I begin the second. Perhaps this one will go ahead with fewer mistakes and I can wear these before winter is over. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our home, the schoolhouse on the corner. The world as we see it. Pictures that make me happy. Standing above the crowd. Look up, way up. Mennonite Girls Can Cook. One Skillet Chicken, Vegetables and Rice Meal.

arroz con siempre: An example: writing clarifies thought

Not everyone who wanders is lost. Tolkien. Friday, April 03, 2015. An example: writing clarifies thought. Fro the first time in our home school career, we have fallen off the rails enough that we are having a hard time getting back on. You understand this is not the first time we've derailed! It's the getting back up that is the problem. Perhaps you wanted to know how I think? Peek into this little window. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our home, the schoolhouse on the corner. arroz con siempre: May 2013
http://arrozconsiempre.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Not everyone who wanders is lost. Tolkien. Friday, May 17, 2013. There are lines in writing that resonate. Sometimes it can be the whole tone of a book or blog or website. Sometimes a sentiment behind a word or two. I have spent months on one verse in the Bible, coming back to it again and again, fully intending to get on to verse 4 but never getting past verse 3. "Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ." So good. Remarkable for sure. In any case I read this blog post. The world as we see it.

arroz con siempre: September 2014
http://arrozconsiempre.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Not everyone who wanders is lost. Tolkien. Friday, September 26, 2014. While it is still called today. Today is a gift. I see it written on the wing of a Monarch butterfly; wrapped in a cigar roll leaf that holds a caterpillar cocoon; tucked into the pods of a touch-me-not and spotted along the back of the leopard frogs in the muddy pools. Today is a gift. I walk, I rejoice, I glory in the hot sun of a late September day after a cooler than usual summer. In the back of my mind is tomorrow. Look up, way up.

arroz con siempre: 18 Years Ago
http://arrozconsiempre.blogspot.com/2015/01/18-years-ago.html
Not everyone who wanders is lost. Tolkien. Wednesday, January 21, 2015. I was woken this morning by my dear Pieman wishing me a happy birthing day. Eighteen years ago I put in a long day's work for the best reward. It's been 18 years. How can such a long time be so short? My reward has been a treasure that I've always known I will send on its way "one day". While that day is not imminent it is closer somehow with this new number. I'm so proud of BTG!
