The many adventures of the Fort Collins Skiba Family. July 9, 2015. This week I took advantage of the opportunity to hike twice on the trails of Grey Rock in northern Colorado. To start the hike I had to cross a sturdy wood hiking bridge over the rough and roaring Poudre River. The snow melting at upper elevations in the Rocky Mountains increases the flow dramatically. The trail is wet. Recent rains are evident in all the greenery. Flowers are soaking up the moisture too. New growth under charred trees.
