Building a Fishing Skiff. This blog describes the design and building of lightweight fishing skiff. Saturday, January 27, 2007. Bulkheads are installed after the interior is glassed. The front bulkheads have the interior cut out to make the lighter. The center frames are cut down for the sole. Fiberglassing the inside of the Hull. Biaxial Fiberglass Cloth is used on the bottom of the hull. Here it is cut and layed out ready for epoxy resin. The Front of the Hull is also covered with biax.
