Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Savannah - Charleston - Virginia. I left the story of our trip from the previous blog, with the Skinners hanging out in Miami. We had a nice week with Nancy and Chauncey, but it was time to start headed to our final destination - Virginia. We stopped in The Villages for a night to pick up my car, and the next morning we had an early start to Savannah. We had just the one night, so we spent the afternoon walking down on the riverfront. Our tour took us near a sandwich shop.

Monday, December 22, 2014. Dad and Pam came to Texas for a visit at the beginning of my Christmas break from Baylor. I left school, drove straight to the airport, parked, and waited less than 10 minutes for them to get off the plane and meet me in the baggage claim. The weather was nice, but wouldn't last. At Mission San Juan Capistrano, there was a mural inside the visitor's center that Ian wanted his picture taken with Dad and Leah, so I dutifully set things up. Saturday, December 6, 2014.

Sunday, September 14, 2014. Camping with the Boy Scouts. Ian and I went camping with a local Boy Scout troop this weekend, and we both had a great time. We got to know some of the other Webelos and parents, as well as experience some of what the Boy Scouts will be like. Ian and a buddy won 3rd place in an orienteering competition! It was still super early when we got here, but the sunshine and warm breeze certainly more than made up for the jet lag. We laid low yesterday, staying fairly close to home.
