five and a half notebooks: Baby's first job application
http://betswana.blogspot.com/2010/09/babys-first-job-application.html
Five and a half notebooks. Watch as I condense more than two years of rich, varied and somewhat incoherent lived experience into a 300-page dissertation while grappling with all the attendant adventures of post-field graduate school. Baby's first job application. Applause, please. (And I never realized until now how close the word applause. Is to the word applesauce. The wrong side of the world. The news from this side. Babys first job application. Who's writing this, anyway? View my complete profile.

It's all about moderation, right? I've done every diet from strict detoxes to all-out eat-whatever-I-want plans, and this way is A) the most sane; b) the most satisfying; and c) the most effective. When we take all the pressure off ourselves and know that if we want to eat something indulgent once in a while, that it's OK- then we see our bodies regulate into healthy, strong versions of our former selves. Try it- you'll see! View my complete profile. Moving On: New Blog and New Cookbook. 1 Tablespoon alm...

Random thoughts from a mom/girlfriend/Director of Catering. Friday, January 15, 2010. Well, its finally happened. After 30 years in Texas, more than half of that in a small town in EAST Texas, I saw the unthinkable. A Dualy Police Truck. With lights. And sirens. And a gun rack in the back window. January 28, 2010 at 9:27 AM. Kate, where are you? No more blogging.Im getting bored reading this one over and over. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mom, can I have some milk? Yumminess Ensues: January 2009
http://yumminessnsues.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2009. Smoked salmon with farfelle. Some meals, everything just comes together. This smoked salmon with farfalle is one of those dinners that just fell into place with little or no effort. Not only was the salmon tasty and easy, but it helped me save money twice! How could a dinner be better? Even the bread turned out well. I am excited, too, because it will be my first entry into Ruth at Once Upon a Feast's. Hosted this week by Erin at Skinny Gourmet. A salmon and pasta dish. 1/4 cup ...

KATERISMS: December 2009
http://katerisms.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Random thoughts from a mom/girlfriend/Director of Catering. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. How did the tradition of sending Christmas cards become so jacked up? Don't get me wrong, I'm guilty, as usual. I sent out a photo card that comes with a signature already printed, so all I technically have to do is put a pre-printed return address on it and write the "To" address. And I'm still late getting them out! Twas 2009 and all through the year. There was cause for celebration, certainly not tears! Austin scor...

mushroom bourguignon – smitten kitchen
https://smittenkitchen.com/2009/01/mushroom-bourguignon
Previous post: clementine cake. Next post: sugar puffs. January 15, 2009. July 28, 2016. Jump to recipe,. When it is as cruelly cold out as it has been this week, beef bourguignon is one of my favorite things. If there is anything better than a symphony of onions, carrots, red wine, broth and a scoop of tomato paste simmered for hours, I haven’t met it. I don’t want to meet it. I already know my favorite. The housekeeping bender doesn’t stop! 8221; Please take all conversations with a grain of salt.

Previous post: dimply plum cake. Next post: marinated eggplant with capers and mint. August 22, 2008. July 14, 2016. Jump to recipe,. I immediately had to make it. All of it. And I can see I am not. The only one. But to start, let’s talk about this recipe, something I think everyone in the entire world should have in their repertoire: Flatbread. If only I actually had. A beach house. I’ll get right on that. Adapted from Gourmet, July 2008. 1 3/4 cups (230 grams) unbleached all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon b...

KATERISMS: Choices, choices
http://katerisms.blogspot.com/2010/03/choices-choices.html
Random thoughts from a mom/girlfriend/Director of Catering. Sunday, March 28, 2010. Jay had the seemingly easy task of filling our our Census form this week. Little did he know the heartache and potentially life altering situation he placed himself in. Afterall, the commercial says "10 question, 10 minutes". Yes, apparently that's all the time it takes for you to possibly wreck your world and cost you thousands of dollars in apology gifts. We forgave him, under pretense I could torture him by blogging ab...

Eating,: February 2010

Drinking and reading and going to the barber. Sunday, February 14, 2010. Restaurant review: Red Sea Cafe. Communal dining at the Red Sea Cafe. Is just east, and the Red Sea Cafe. Is just west. A brief exchange at On The Bone. Led me to seek out Red Sea, and while it wasn't spectacular, it was enjoyable. Fassil's menu looks a little more enticing: I really want to know what the white food is, because I haven't seen it at the other three:. 670 East Broadway at Fraser. Links to this post. Coming up. ish.
