Barefoot Julia--My Couch to 5K Journey: Still going!
http://barefootjulia.blogspot.com/2010/07/still-going.html
Friday, July 23, 2010. My brother, aunt, and I got up and out by 6am while we were at our week long beach trip in NC. I was thrilled to get this shot! Well yikes, I've really fallen down on the blogging job. But as far as running? Also, my whole little family got really really sick several weeks before we left for our 6 weeks in NC. Took the kids 3 weeks to get over an on again off again fever and horrid cough. Brad? April 20, 2014 at 1:34 PM. Running 3 times a week is beautiful habit! Skinny Sushi Thank...

Barefoot Julia--My Couch to 5K Journey: 45 minutes
http://barefootjulia.blogspot.com/2010/05/45-minutes.html
Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Some running but probably 2/3 walking. Didn't feel up to much. I was able to talk myself out of all the 'shoulds'- why 'should' I do anything? This is just for me. I'm glad I realized it :-) The skin on my feet is still a little tender so tomorrow I'm just walking and no barefooting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Barefoot Julia- My Couch to 5K Journey. It started in order to cut down the stress in my life- turns out the journey is fun :-). Vibram Five Fingers Community.

Barefoot Julia--My Couch to 5K Journey: March 2010
http://barefootjulia.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 29, 2010. All is well :-). I just never know how the day after a run will treat me but lo and behold:. Maybe I can actually do the 3 runs a week that the Couch to 5K calls for? That would be amazing! Sunday, March 28, 2010. Run 10- I did it! Yes, I finally hit Week 2 in the Couch to 5K program. It must be the new capri running tights! It's been nearly a week since Run 9 (the one on grass, asphalt, and concrete)- the reason? It took me forever FOREVER! I think it was when I was a teenager!

Barefoot Julia--My Couch to 5K Journey: April 2010
http://barefootjulia.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 29, 2010. Run 18- Week 4, Run 3. I did the first half in my Soft Star Shoes (hoping for my RunAMocs by Saturday) and the last half barefoot which was why the run was so great. Anytime I take off my shoes I have a great run. The last run was 5 min and i felt like I could go forever. What could be better? My friend Jim asked how many shoes I've tried now, he's teasing me- let's see. 1 I started off in regular old sneakers. 4 Invisibleshoes huaraches- still haven't made them! Last week I dec...

WHO IS JACK SH*T? WIDTH (WHY I DO THIS HERE). WIDTH (WHY I DO THIS HERE). There are seemingly a million reasons why we're on this journey, from the frivolous to the serious, from fun and games to life and death. Some of us want it for ourselves and others for those around us. Some because they want more out of this life and some because they expect more out of themselves. What's your reason? What drives you down this path to living a more healthy life? That's not a rhetorical question, dumbass! TJ @ TJ's...

Barefoot Julia--My Couch to 5K Journey: Returning to running after a year off
http://barefootjulia.blogspot.com/2012/03/returning-to-running-after-year-off.html
Friday, March 16, 2012. Returning to running after a year off. Run 4 in 2 weeks, 2.46 miles, ran about half the way, walked the other half. Barefoot for.maybe a little less than half. Feel really good :-). Oh well, I'm back to it now and all is well. Originally it took me months to where I am now. When I first started I would have to go 4-5 days between runs because my whole body would ache to the point of distraction and bitchiness. Restarting now though.after a run I'm pleasantly tired ...Closing In &#...

Barefoot Julia--My Couch to 5K Journey: June 2010
http://barefootjulia.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 7, 2010. I'm in NC for 6 weeks. We drove 3 days, stopped in Ohio to visit family for 2 days, drove another day and arrived in NC last Wednesday. I've run 3 times since then. Once without shoes- OUCH! The roads in my parent's neighborhood are horrible and my feet just aren't up to it yet. It's hilly here (flat as a pancake in my Colorado neighborhood) so I'm getting a different workout which is nice. My Dad races around the neighborhood loop on his bike while I run. It's good.
