Sunday, October 11, 2009. Woke in darkness, to observ car, and a little moon watching headlight illuminate twisty route through desert. In and out of Helper during breakfast. Before Arches were special train cars to remove radon emitting radioactive waste. Saw Landscape Arch (so said Conductor) in distance. Neat sculpted granite boulders in Colorado! Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Woke up in Omaha on time, 0600. Snowing. Only sticking to the odd windshield. Misting rain in Otumwa. Look up Dead Horse Point state park S of Arches. Nice shower. Water only stayed on for 10 secs after button push, not 30, but it was warm. Contracted lunch, burgers or pizza, had latter. Arrived Chicago more or less on time. Got checked in lounge, dinner res made for 1830, and on street before 1600. Remember architecture boat tour next time. View my complete profile.
