The reason for the detention: "Another student made the comment 'You need to push it in further.' (innocent comment) and Dalten added 'That's what she said.'". Day 3: Inside Passage. Sep 4th, 2009 at 8:44 PM. We had breakfast, got ready for the day and headed to our first quiz. It was on geography, so I wasn't much help at all. Steve thought he did terrible, but ended up winning anyway. Our prize: hand sanitizer. Score! Steve had very few surprises, especially since I left one of his presents in his trunk. Oops! Steve totally surprised me by buying me what I wanted. That rarely happens. Sep 9th, 2009 at 8:27 PM. Our first official stop in Alaska was Ketchikan. It is the most southeastern city in Alaska with a population of about 8,000 people. It is also the fifth largest city in Alaska. That's pretty sad. It is landlocked, which means you can only get there by air or by sea. It's a very pretty town.
