From Inside the Empty Nest: A new day
http://insidetheemptynest.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-new-day.html
From Inside the Empty Nest. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. It seems really dark out this morning and it is starting to rain. What I wouldn't give for a really good thunderstorm about now. I woke up to the sound of a siren on our street. Sirens are pretty normal around here and you can rarely go outside and not hear one. I don't like it, but that's reality in the city. I like my coffee too sweet and really hot and this morning it turned out just right. So in spite of the sirens, the day is starting off well.

rennratt: Loss
http://rennratt.blogspot.com/2014/03/loss.html
I reserve the right to ramble incoherently. The voices in my head are fighting for space. Tuesday, March 04, 2014. Now, onward. I can't really say "upward", because, well. Tracy. Died Yes, she was sick. REALLY sick. But still. She was meant to live into old age, snickering and snarking with the rest of us. Plus, she really loved my Nooze. She would have loved to know the outcome of those SATs. [Technically, Nooze could apply to college right now. At AGE THIRTEEN.]. She squealed, "So! You will, however, N...

With Eyes Wide Open: Me & The Kid
http://witheyeswideopen2.blogspot.com/2012/02/me-kid.html
Me and The Kid. Sharon asked, a while back, how things with my stepson have been. It's a tricky question to answer. The Kid is angry at his mother's disregard for him because of her new pregnancy. He is angry that she is pregnant because he doesn't feel she deserves to have more children. He is angry that his father and I continue to lose pregnancies because he never felt like he was being replaced when we were pregnant (looking back, he was actually excited). It's a true roller coaster: knowing ours is ...

V Agent for Breakfast: May 2006
http://phosgene4kids.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
V Agent for Breakfast. Welcome to the Tiny House. Wednesday, May 31, 2006. I like sharing these they are actually pieces of my life and since Blogs are supposed to be biographical in nature I suspect my memories qualify. Old men sitting spitting. Talking price of wheat. Cactus Wren hopping through June litter. Unhappy I am there. Play tune on tender teeth. Snow on outstretched fingers. Creaking in the wind. Sitting on a snag. Let the doe pass. Chickadees play on my hat. Looking for his dinner. The soldie...

V Agent for Breakfast: November 2005
http://phosgene4kids.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
V Agent for Breakfast. Welcome to the Tiny House. Tuesday, November 29, 2005. View From The Back Pew. The Moslems have an entire gallery of America’s most wanted. Of course the belief as a body doesn’t hold with terrorism, although the terrorists seem to be doing it for someone and where are they getting all the money for those exploding cars? Wonder why attendance at church is a bit off now-a-days? Posted by The Phosgene Kid @ 4:14 PM. Friday, November 25, 2005. Posted by The Phosgene Kid @ 2:12 AM.
