To put it more simply, Thursday's problem is that, the best part of a decade on, they have never come close to bettering 'Understanding.', and tonight they open with 'Understanding.', meaning that whatever they play for the following 45 minutes, all the crowd really want is 'Understanding.'. There's some traditional folk roots in here, but mixed with elements of country and some indie/punk ethics creeping in, too. It is almost as if someone crossed the Levellers with The Pentangle.
