Andy Bell on Popstar to Opera Star: queeroperapunks
http://queeroperapunks.livejournal.com/987865.html
Andy Bell on Popstar to Opera Star. Does anyone still read this comm? Whatever. I have no idea where else I could possibly post about this. Andy Bell of Erasure (one of my favorite singers, and totally queer! Is on a British reality TV show called Popstar to Opera Star, which is about what you'd expect from the title. He just made it through the first performance competition round with his rendition of "O sole mio". What do we think? Does his personal stamp work for the piece? Post a new comment.

Stormer and Roxy (friendship). Set during "The Bands Break Up". All Roxy could think was that it had seemed like a good idea at the time. Please do not archive or distribute without author's permission. Author's Note: Set during "The Bands Break Up". Written for. For the Yuletide 2008 Challenge. All Roxy could think, as the door of the practice room vibrated in its frame and Stormer's angry footsteps echoed down the hall, was that it had seemed like a good idea at the time. Oh, please. It's Stormer.

Kayleigh's Big Wood Table. Thursday, December 25, 2008. The family gifts are the best". This year Santa brought a few gifts addressed to the whole family. My sister spotted them right away and could barely take her eyes off them as we opened up our individual gifts. The family gifts are the best ones," she said. And boy oh boy - She was right! It was a Wii and Rock Band! Natalie was in tears of joy, and the boys almost fainted. Now comes the hard work of getting it all set up -. Links to this post. Shake...

Kayleigh's Big Wood Table: Post Nano Wrap Up
http://bigwoodtable.blogspot.com/2009/12/post-nano-wrap-up.html
Kayleigh's Big Wood Table. Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Post Nano Wrap Up. It’s now December 16th which means half a month ago I finished writing my novel. I’ve wanted to catch up on blogging during these two weeks, but I’ve just today recovered enough to put any kind of coherent entry together. During November I was suffering from a condition I call “writing-stupidity” for which the only known cure is TV and movies (and cupcakes, I guess). Now that my brain is back, I can take a clear-eyed look at what...

Kayleigh's Big Wood Table: February 2009
http://bigwoodtable.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Kayleigh's Big Wood Table. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Signs of Life, in the Dead of Winter. Even in the coldest weeks of the year, nature persists. If you're an optimist like me, you can take it as a sign that old Groundhog was wrong, and Spring is on the way early. Links to this post. Monday, February 23, 2009. Links to this post. Last week I finished up my first full scarf. It was very easy, using a Knifty Knitter loom. Next up - a matching hat. Links to this post. Recently posted her notes from a Bos...

Kayleigh's Big Wood Table: November 2008
http://bigwoodtable.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Kayleigh's Big Wood Table. Friday, November 7, 2008. The Three Rules of Writing a Novel. 8220;There are three rules of writing a novel. Unfortunately no one knows what they are.” W. Somerset Maugham. Lately I’ve been getting a lot of conflicting rules on novelling. November is nanowrimo territory, so many of my friends are happily ensconced in that world where writers should:. Write 50,000 words as fast as you can. If your story isn’t working, write more. All first drafts are crap. Like discovering how t...

Kayleigh's Big Wood Table: Date Night at Myers & Chang
http://bigwoodtable.blogspot.com/2009/07/date-night-at-myers-chang.html
Kayleigh's Big Wood Table. Monday, July 13, 2009. Date Night at Myers and Chang. Who knows where my food obsessions come from? I get a craving and I must have that food Weekly! Until I’ve had enough. This week it’s the food Joann Chang makes. Luckily, we’re savvy locals and I knew that Flour – the studio 54 of downtown lunch spots that I'd never had the time to visit during the workweek - was around … here …. somewhere…. The inviting café was open, fully stocked, and empty on a weekend afternoon! After d...
