Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Yes, we were hit by the blizzard. I feel lucky that we've missed such storms in the past. There was a blizzard in New York while we were living there, but we were here in Missouri visiting my parents. There have been a few blizzards here, but we weren't here. There was no avoiding it this time! We stocked up on food and fuel (in case of power outages) and hunkered down. Jake had 2 days off of work and Jackson had 4 days plus a weekend off of school. Saturday, December 26, 2009. We started out our Christmas eve celebration with a short representation of the Nativity. My niece and nephew, Aryn and Braden, were Mary and Joseph, Jackson was a shepherd and Kate was an angel. (Sydney wasn't feeling well). Then our family exchanges family presents. Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Yesthe ranks are now even. There are 3 Skousen men in this house to attempt to counteract the estrogen. I'm not sure how well it's working.the girls are pretty dramatic, but these boys are really cute. He's going to be a smarty pants though. Jake is such a great dad! Friday, September 28, 2012. I have never really been fashionable. I like to look nice, but I have stepped out probably too many times in clothes that I just mowed the lawn in, or whatever I was working on. I think mostly I just hate changing more than once a day, and I like clothes that have many functions. I even exercise in my pajamas sometimes. :-/. For me fashionably there is no hope. But I sure am comfortable! Oh yeah.and I'll most likely be sporting one of these. Only it will look more like this.

Sunday, April 14, 2013. Sorry, no pictures! While all the boys sleep I'm sitting here after church watching "Extreme Couponing" on TLC. I can't help but feel like this show has something in common with "Hoarding: Buried Alive". We just want want want. Even if we don't need it.
